There are many programs which you can download to stop yourself being keylogged, and getting viruses and there are some useful tips to stop you being hacked or scammed.

Bullguard is an anti-virus program and firewall, it can prevent you getting keylogged and stop anything bad happening to your computer. Although it is a program which you need to pay to use - you can still register for a free trial.

Lavasoft Adaware is a free spy ware scanner and remover to help you keep your computer clean from tracking components and aggressive advertisers.

Many people use Norton to keep their pcs safe in many different ways, because they earn so much they offer two types of free scans on their site so that you can check your computer for viruses or keyloggers.

Scammers and hackers often need you to be gullable to be able to get onto your computer or habbo account. They may try to send you files over an instant messenger, or ask you questions to get the answer to your secret question. But always be one step ahead, read the newsie every week for some tips on how to be safe. If someone tries to e-mail you anything or sends you a file over msn, get them to put it in a zip first so that you can have time to scan it, or check whether its really what its made out to be, often scammers may pretend that they want to send you an image, when its really a keylogger, and the way to tell is by being careful, its easy to cancel the first time of them sending it and check its full name, it may only say 'picture.jpg' at the start, but if you cancel it, it may come up as 'picture.jpg.exe'.
